Binding carrier rules for applying, accepting, carrying, couriering, and handing off consignments.
These Carrier Rules apply to each carrier and carrier-side account holder who applies for, accepts, handles, transports, drops off, updates, or completes a Carryn delivery workflow.
Independent judgment required
Carriers must independently decide whether a consignment is lawful, safe, accurately described, properly packaged, and suitable for the route.
Inspection and proof required
Carriers must complete required intake checks, mismatch notes, status updates, courier steps, proof photos, and handoff records before payout workflows complete.
Carrier is not Carryn
Carriers are independent users, not employees, agents, partners, or legal representatives of Carryn.
1. Acceptance and Scope
By clicking a carrier-rules checkbox, applying to carry, accepting a sender request, submitting delivery terms, taking possession of a package, updating status, buying or using a courier label, uploading proof, or completing a handoff, you agree to these Carrier Rules.
These Carrier Rules supplement the Carryn Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Route Rules, and in-product instructions.
2. Eligibility, Verification, and Accurate Information
You must provide truthful identity, travel, availability, payout, route, pricing, courier, and profile information. You may not apply or accept if you cannot lawfully and safely handle the consignment and route.
Verification, ratings, payout onboarding, and approval signals are platform controls only. They do not make you an employee of Carryn, remove your legal obligations, or guarantee that a specific route or item is lawful for you to carry.
3. Inspection, Refusal, and Intake Proof
Before travel or courier drop-off, you must inspect or reasonably verify the package as required by the platform, take required intake proof, and confirm whether the actual contents exactly match the sender’s listing and contents summary.
You must refuse, pause, or report a consignment if contents are missing, extra, different, unsafe, illegal, restricted, misdeclared, suspicious, improperly packaged, or inconsistent with the route, courier, airline, customs, or platform rules.
4. Route, Travel, Courier, and Handoff Conduct
You are responsible for complying with all airline, airport, customs, courier, postal, traffic, safety, import, export, sanctions, local-law, and recipient-location rules that apply to your route and delivery method.
If using courier delivery, you must use the selected courier drop-off information, label, service, tracking, and instructions accurately. You must not reuse labels, alter labels, misstate weight or dimensions, redirect packages without authorization, or ignore courier restrictions.
- Maintain appropriate custody and care while the consignment is in your possession.
- Keep coordination inside Carryn chat when possible so support can review the record.
- Provide truthful travel start and end dates, allow approximate live foreground and background location during active transit where permissions, operating-system controls, and connectivity allow, and complete required intake and final handoff or courier drop-off proof truthfully and promptly.
- Upload required proof photos before continuing through controlled handoff steps.
5. Pricing, Fees, Payouts, and Taxes
You are responsible for the accuracy of your pricing mode, fixed base rate, Best Price response, extra fees, extra-fee descriptions, travel date, delivery type, courier service, and courier drop-off terms before submitting an application or accepting a sender request.
If you select Best Price or both fixed price and Best Price, you understand that sender offers are not binding on you unless you accept them through the platform before expiration. Once you accept a Best Price offer, the accepted amount becomes the carrier base rate for the delivery workflow and may trigger the sender payment window.
Carryn may withhold platform fees from carrier-side amounts, delay payouts, reverse payouts, or hold funds where payment-provider rules, complaints, evidence issues, fraud concerns, courier issues, or legal obligations require review.
You are responsible for your own taxes, reporting, bank details, payout-provider compliance, travel costs, courier drop-off conduct, and expenses not expressly approved in the platform record.
6. Prohibited Carrier Conduct
You may not steal, substitute, open for improper purposes, consume, damage, abandon, hold hostage, misdeliver, conceal, misdeclare, sell, dispose of, or misuse a consignment. You may not pressure a sender or recipient to bypass the platform, change payment terms off-platform, skip proof, or ignore route rules.
You may not carry a consignment while impaired or in a way that violates law, carrier/courier restrictions, travel rules, safety duties, sanctions, customs requirements, or the Carryn platform rules.
7. Carrier Liability and Indemnity
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you assume the risks connected to applying for, accepting, possessing, carrying, couriering, storing, handing off, updating, and completing a consignment.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Carryn harmless from claims, losses, costs, penalties, damages, courier disputes, customs matters, recipient disputes, sender disputes, chargebacks, and legal expenses arising from your handling, route conduct, statements, omissions, violation of law, or breach of these Carrier Rules.
Platform Position
These Carrier Rules are intended to make carrier responsibility explicit before application, acceptance, possession, courier drop-off, status updates, handoff proof, and payout. Carryn provides software, records, and controls; carriers remain responsible for lawful and safe handling.
